The ĢƵ is committed by its Strategic Plan to achieving international standards and world recognition in research and research‐led teaching. Alongside this is a commitment for the ĢƵ and its members to maintain the highest standards in research integrity.

As an institution eligible to receive research funding administered through Research England, the ĢƵ is required to have procedures governing good research practice in place that adhere to the requirements set out in the (2025) and UKRI’s relevant .

The ĢƵ is a subscriber to the an independent advisory body, offering support to the public, researchers, and organisations to further good practice in research. A registered charity, it was created in response to longstanding and growing concerns about the reliability of research.

UKRIO is the UK’s most experienced research integrity organisation. Since 2006, it has provided independent and expert support across all disciplines of research. It works to enhance good research practice, address mistakes, questionable practices, and fraud, and improve the culture and systems of UK research.

Research Ethics and Integrity at the ĢƵ are overseen by the Dean for Research (lucy.bradnock@courtauld.ac.uk). The Dean for Research can be approached in confidence by anyone who wishes to raise concerns about the integrity of research conducted by any member of the ĢƵ’s community.
