Short Courses offer an extensive evening study programme for all those who find it difficult to make time for art history during the working day, consisting of
- Our long-established evening lecture series Showcasing Art History, where a different speaker each week explores a single theme across a term
- One on campus course, Variations on a Theme: The Renaissance in Art and Music, taught over five weekly evening seminars at Vernon Square

Every Evening ĢƵ Online course includes:
- Five or ten pre-recorded one-hour lectures, released three or six weeks before your first seminar, so you can watch them whenever suits you. The live weekly Zoom seminars take place in the evenings. Before your first Zoom session, usually on the Wednesday evening, there will be a social icebreaker session where you can meet your tutor and classmates. Where a course is oversubscribed, we can often offer a second, later seminar on the same day.
- Pre-course reading materials, handouts, further reading suggestions, student-to-tutor and peer-to-peer discussion forums on the virtual learning environment (VLE).
- Some Evening ĢƵ Online courses may include an optional in-person site visit for an additional £50. Provision will depend on lecturer availability and student demand. Please discuss the possibility of a course visit with your lecturer and group once the course has started.
